Brooke Walker

Psychologist

Brooke is a general psychologist who completed her Master of Professional Psychology at Victoria University and works with clients 13+ years. Brooke has worked with children, adolescents and adults in community mental health, school settings, disability, and specialist services.

Compassionate and person-centered, Brooke holds a deep passion in assisting individuals in fostering greater insight into their psychological health and well-being, and come to greater understandings of once learned longstanding patterns of coping that may now be impacting upon a person’s wellbeing. Brooke aims to create a warm, friendly and non-judgemental space. Brooke holds a growing interest in working with clients who present with post-traumatic symptoms and dissociation, both for acute trauma and complex trauma experienced in childhood.

She sees clients funded through services such as Medicare, NDIS, WorkCover, Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT), and Care in Mind (CIM).

Brooke draws on many therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Parts Work, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
