Bliss is a registered Mental Health Accredited Social Worker through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Bliss has extensive experience in forensic psychology; working directly with clients, and in supervising and leading clinical teams.
Bliss has a particular interest in working with adult clients who present with drug and alcohol misuse, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, emotion dysregulation, low self – esteem and transitional difficulties. She will also consider clients with a history of violence and unhealthy relationship dynamics.
Bliss is empathetic and open minded, and approaches her work through a client centred lens; working collaboratively with her clients to establish treatment goals. Bliss prioritises the therapeutic relationship and the opportunity for feedback, utilising a strength based and solution focused approach to promote self-awareness and growth.
Bliss utilises a variety of evidence-based modalities, tailoring these to the needs of her clients. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She can offer sessions under a Medicare Mental Health Care Plan.
